Take time to notice things around us..
Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.
4 minutes later:
The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.
6 minutes:
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his wa tch and started to walk again.
10 minutes:
A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.
45 minutes:
The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.
1 hour:
He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.
No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.
This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people's priorities.
The questions raised:
*In a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?
*Do we stop to appreciate it?
*Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?
One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this:
If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made.
How many other things are we missing?

*evil laughter
Eekai, Wong and I went to Sunway and Eekai had his lunch in good ol' Sakae Sushi while Im actually a supporter of Sushi King. Lol*
ps:// his food was left untouched for about 10 minutes.
*cantonese
"Tai meh tai? Mei kin go leng zhai ah?"
"Tai lei meh? Tai game lahhhh"
Lol*
I was stalking the boys from the other table.
Damn they eat alot.
Eekai and Wong : SEE! They didnt take red plate wan! Confirm CHEAPOs! Hahahahah!
Hahaha. Our "plate incident".
Wong stole the next table's plates and we found out it was Su Lyn (Im not sure if it's the correct spelling)
EPIC.
Then, met up with Yap, his brother and Alex for Percy Jackson.
Im telling you, that movie is crap.
Storyline sucks and there are some illogical events that made me and Eekai laughed cos of its stupidity.
Overall, a good movie to just waste your money on since it's CNY. Haha.
Graphic's kinda good though ;) Love it.
And Logan Lerman is to die for....
signing off now. Not many pictures today :(

So True yet so often we forget
A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper wrapped package:
'This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package.'
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.
'She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this is it.
He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died.
He turned to me and said:
'Never save something for a special occasion.
Every day in your life is a special occasion'.
I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and clean less.
I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.
I spend more time with my family, and less at work.
I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through.
I no longer keep anything...
I use crystal glasses every day...
I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it.
I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to.
The words 'Someday...' and ' One Day....' are fading away from my dictionary.
If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now....
I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell. A
I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels.
I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favourite food.
It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come..
Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.
Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

Ee Kai's pre-birthday celeb.
Been millions of years since i posted anything so i guess it's about time...haha
Well since everyone is posting about New Year, ill bring you guys back to december last year.
The title says it all and well...i think Ee Kai is freaking out reading this....hehe
Well, early in december, myself, Rachel, eekai, sam and rachel's friend went to Red Fm's party at G hotel's G spot sport bar with the theme "Love Classified". It's a party held specially for "BACHELORS" and "BACHELORETTE", sort of like a match making kinda party althought most people that went are not single, myself for instance.
Before party picture.
Picture with Red FM's DJ and Nisha
Group picture of the entire Love Classified cast.
After the party at Gspot hotel, the after party is held in City bayview hotel where Jazz festival is held. Before going to the after party, we went to Hard Rock Cafe and it's Eekai's shining moment.
That's all from me at the moment.
Take care and cya all...
